World Wombat Day
- The Wombat is the second largest of all Marsupials, second to the Red Kangaroo.
- A group of Wombats is known as a Wisdom.
- Wombats dig extensive burrow systems with their rodent-like front teeth and powerful claws.
- The are 3 sub-species are Bare-Nosed Wombat (Vombatus Ursinus), Southern Hairy-nosed(Lasiorhinus latifrons) and Northern Hairy Nosed (Lasiorhinus krefftii).
