World Walrus Day
- Walrus (Odobenus rosmarus)
- There are 2 Sub-species; the Atlantic walrus (O. r. rosmarus), which lives in the Atlantic Ocean, and the Pacific walrus (O. r. divergens), which lives in the Pacific Ocean.
- Male Pacific walruses can reach 3.6 m long and weigh over 1,500kg (that is 1.5 tonnes).
- Both Males and Female Walrus have tusks.
