What do they look like?

Although they look tough these iguanas’ scaled bodies are actually soft and leathery.  They vary in colours from the bright green of females and juveniles to the greyer more neutral tones of adult males.

Animal facts

Happy on both land and in water, green iguanas can fall 40-50ft without getting hurt to avoid danger.

Iguanas are herbivores

Central and Southern America, Caribbean islands
