The Great Egret does not eat at night. During the day it forages alone or within mixed flocks, catching fish by standing motionless in the water for long periods.
The Blue-Crowned Motmot also called Blue-Capped Motmots, do not group into flocks. They live in pairs throughout the year, but tend to forage separately during the day.
