Sibu Wildlife Sanctuary rescues injured and orphaned wildlife in the Nicoya Peninsula of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. The Sanctuary is located in Santa Marta, Nosara. The majority of rescued animals are Golden-Mantled Howler Monkeys, in addition to other types of wildlife in need ( White-Nosed Coatis, White-Faced Capuchins, Raccoons, Possums, Birds, Squirrels, Mexican Hairy Porcupines, Collared Peccaries, Tamandua Anteater…).

We provide a safe, natural environment for those animals in need of rehabilitation and long term care. Once they are ready, they are released in an area where they have plenty of food and can live safely. Sibu offers educational visits to raise awareness, and spread the word about the main problems that local wildlife faces: electrocution on non-isolated power lines, deforestation and dog attacks.
