- Skunks are well known for their distinct strong smelling spray which they use to defend themselves when threatened.
- Skunks are most active at night.
- They sleep in dens lined with leaves during the day.
- The common Striped Skunk is found from central Canada southward throughout the United States to northern Mexico.
