National Iguana Awareness Day – September 08, 2022
#NationalIguanaAwarenessDay
National Iguana Awareness Day – Iguana eggs are laid in a burrow in a warm, sunny area. The mother covers the eggs & then walks away never to come back to check on the eggs or hatchlings.
The burrow temperature stay about 25 to 32 degrees Celsius (77 to 89 degrees Fahrenheit), which incubates the eggs until they hatch.
The baby iguanas are completely on their own for the three years it takes to fully mature because their mother never returns.
