National Fox Day
- Arctic Foxes are well adapted to living in frigid-cold environments like the Arctic and Polar region in the Northern hemisphere.
- They are much smaller, stouter and more compact than other members of the Fox family, which helps to reduce heat loss due to lower total body surface area.
- Arctic Foxes have a dark skin pigmentation (similar to Polar bears) underneath their fur. The darker skin colour helps at absorbing and retaining heat.
