- The Cougar (Puma concolor) has several other names associated to this species – mountain lion, puma, painter, panther, and catamount.
- It is the 4th largest of all known wild felines.
- The Cougar lives in a range that extends from parts of Canada to the Andes in South America. Its greatest concentration is in North America.
