International Ungulate Awareness Day
- Mouflon (Ovis gmelini) is a wild sheep native to the Caspian region.
- The Mouflon’s coat is short-haried reddish-brown with a dark stripe runnnng along its back, with lighter-colored patches on the side.
- Males and female Mouflon live in separate groups, only coming together for the mating season.
- The Mouflon is a herbivore (graminivore) eating mainly on various grasses.
